![]() It's all about the electrical load your house needs. Should I replace my panel with another one that has more slots? Should I create another Sub-panel to address the other issues? I'd like to know what would be the most economical (and safest) way to address this issue. When I spoke to my friends about this they told me that I would only need a 200 amp box if I had a pool, jacuzzi, or central AC. Apparently this is the going rate here on LI. I got some rough estimates on how much it will cost to upgrade my box to 200 amp and the numbers were way out of my budget. I live on Long Island, NY and this is how we bought the house. Also I have a sub panel run to my detached garage. I know this is not to code and is probably dangerous. There are about 4 breakers that have two wires going into them. ![]() There are about 20 breakers in the box and they are all being used. I have a 100 amp Circuit breaker panel that is a bit crowded. Hey guys I'd like to get a few tips on what I should do about my Circuit Breaker Panel.
